We have just returned from our second stay in this
charming, comfortable and well-equipped gite. Bize is a
lovely village which is friendly, welcoming and despite
being very small has all the shops and amenities you could
need only a few steps from the front door. Our only regret
was having to leave. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely location-really enjoyed exploring the area.Visited
various beaches-all worth a visit. Narbonne Plage, Leucate,
Cap d'Agde, Valras and Sete. The stretch between Cap d'Agde
and Sete is wonderful- even just as a drive.

Fantastic Gite, fantastic week. Remember to look on the top
shelf in the living room for invaluable maps and
guides.Definately visit- the lake at Olonzac. L'Appaloosa
restaurant can recommend. Hire boats form Le Somail to see
the Canal du Midi. p.s. get up early to get croissants from

Once again, a lovely stay in this quaint village.Great days
out- Collieure, Mirepoix market on Mondays. We had a lazy
painting picnic by the Canal du Midi in hot spring
sunshine.

We arrived in Girona airport and spent a night in Rosas,in
Spain. Then drove up to Bize.It is an unspoiled village
with lovely scenery and friendly people. Took a short trip
to Minerve, and discovered more of the wines of the
Minervois and the Montagne Noir. My only regret was that we
could not speak enough French. Michael helped us very well
indeed.

Bize is a very quaint little place and an excellent base to
explore from. If you can get to Nimes you must and a visit
to Agde is worth it. Valras Plage is a wonderful beach in
the Aude.

Can recommend Las Tours and the cave at Limousis, market at
Olonzac and Carcassonne. Don't bother with the abbey at
Caunes Minervois and the abbey at Fontfroide has great
guided tour.

Bize Minervois is such a delightful setting for a Gite
holiday in the Languedoc. L'Oulibo olive oil Co-Op is well
worth a visit. The beaches of Gruissan, Narbonne Plage and
St Pierre are a delight. Carcassonne Cite is great- get
there early. Paraza and Ventenac are worth a visit- right
on the Canal du Midi. For a Village Gite in the Languedoc,
this Gite takes some beating.

All
of us had a very good week (last one) and the house in Bize
Minervois itself was one of the best we have had during the
years we have been in France and they are mounting up now.
The Gite was perfect on so many ways, airy, large rooms,
well equipped and very easy to clean, which is always a
huge bonus. Douglas, the 16 year old one has alr5eady
decided to save up his salary as a judo trainer for next
visit, next year to the Aude,Languedoc………..one year is a
long time at that phase in your life.
