It has a good reputation with locals for consistent quality
and first class ingredients. All the meat is organic and
there a imaginative vegetarian options.

Perhaps the best value to be
found. At a fixed price of 25 euros diners are treated to
five courses, amuses bouches, aperitifs, digestifs with
wine included. Lobster and foie gras offered for entries.
Freshwater crayfish (messy but delicious) is amongst the
fish offerings, and the main course offers a choice of
barbecued duck, beef or lamb. Not great for vegetarians.

place where you can eat as well as one can n the famous
Hotel de la Cité but for a fraction of the price. It is
only a stone's throw away. You can count on truffles and

Unpretentious and friendly
restaurant well off the beaten track in this small village
near the Pech (peak) of Bugarach, a peak that can be seen
for miles around and creates its own microclimate. This
restaurant is record holder for staying open in the winter.
Usually a selection of game is available. Not ideal for
vegetarians if only due to hunting trophies and other forms
of taxidermy in the décor.

The esplanade of
Narbonne plage is restaurant city however most are very
ordinary and of the fresh out of the freezer variety. Oasis
is reasonably priced for a Logis de France. It serves
sumptuous seafood platters and has an otherwise thoughtful
menu including carefully selected fishes, salads and wines.
Service is friendly and seating is available on the
terrace.
